The Winter Sundance Engagement with Kat & Jared went perfectly! Ok, no pressure that Kat's mom told me that Kat had been dreaming of an planning her wedding since she was born.
When someone tells you that their daughter has been planning her wedding since birth, you think to yourself that nothing is going to make this person happy. But as I got to know Kat better, I found out that she is not like that at all. Kate & Jared are both super nice people, maybe even two of my favorite clients ever. Kat has an amazingly natural beauty and glow that is indescribable. And her smile can warm you up even on a freezing cold day like it was today.
Jared is a really nice guy and served his mission in Russia, arguably one of the toughest mission a guy could be sent on. I had lots of questions about his mission that he was happy to answer. He even had a really cool heavy jacket ( seriously, it weighed a ton ) the likes I had never seen and boots that he got on his mission in Russia. And after being in Russia, the cold today was probably like a warm summers day.
Yet again, I found a new location to shoot in at Sundance, and I was happy to see that unlike other days, I did not have to make trails through 3 feet of snow to get to the places where we shot pictures. Kate even brought a blanket that loved and I used it in more than a few of the shots.
At the end of the day, Kat's mom ( who was actually a lot of help on the shoot by helping me with Kat's hair) told me that this was one of the best day of her life, and that she was really happy with the way that the shoot had gone. Comments like that make me love my job so much that I wish I could do it forever.
