Tony Grove Lake Engagement Session with Kylee & Colby

I had only been to Tony Grove Lake once before, and it was a few days prior to this session in the middle of the day. I always scout out new locations prior to asking clients to go there, as you never know what you are going to get. And even though Tony Grove lake is about a 2 hour drive one-way from me, it was so beautiful there the previous day that I had to get pictures of my clients there.

Usually talking somebody into driving that far can be difficult. After all, that's 4 hours of driving for a 1 hour session. But Kylee & Colby were all in so we planned to meet at the base of Logan Canyon so they could follow me up. They got there late and Colby had forgotten to bring his dress shirt. But a nearby friend was able to get one for him about 20 minutes later so off we went.

The first place we found was so awesome that it defied the imagination! Tall purple & yellow flowers immersed in a grove of aspen trees. If we had more time I could have done the entire session here, but we were parked on the side of the road and I did not want to get hit by another car.

The next place we went to is the lake itself. It was a high mountain alpine lake with wildflowers everywhere. There were so many types and colors you could not even count them all. We have had a long winter and so the wildflowers everywhere have been really nice, but this place was 10 steps above the rest. And the diversity of the background from pines, to aspens, to large boulders and a lake and forest path was perfect.
