Fall Sundance Engagement Session with Victoriia and Anatolie
by Utah Wedding Photographers JamesErickPhotographyUtah.
The Fall Sundance Engagement with Victoriia and Anatolie was to amazing to put into words, but it did not start that way. OK, so I get this call from a girl named Viktoriia with a Ukrainian accent saying she wants to see if I am available to do a Fall Sundance Engagement and when would I be available. So we picked a date and planned to meet at the Sundance parking lot at about 6:00 pm. I usually take a 50% down payment in advance, but she said she could only pay me upon my arrival. OK I said, no problem. Then on the day of the shoot, Viktoriia called me right before the shoot started and said that their car broke down and that her and Anatolie needed a ride to Sundance. At this point I was thinking they may not be interested in a photo shoot and could be wanting to steal my equipment and leave me in the woods somewhere. I told her I was sorry but for security reasons I could not give them a ride to the shoot, so they said they would get Uber. I had a bad feeling about this one.
When they arrived at the shoot, and after talking with them for a while, I could not have felt more stupid. Viktoriia & Anatoli are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. And considering that they are Ukrainian immigrants that came to the US only a couple of years ago, there English is perfect! They are smart and funny and kind. We laughed and joked around all during the shoot.
Sundance was at its Fall prime, with the yellow aspens dotting the cliff side and creating a huge yellow forest for us to walk through. The color, landscape, weather and couple all made this an amazing photo shoot. At the end of the shoot, I even offered them a ride home to same them from having to call Uber again, which might have been impossible as my cell phone had no reception at all. They gladly accepted.
