Savannah & Jake's Little Sahara Adventure
As Utah Wedding Photographers, we're always searching for unique locations that create unforgettable images, and Little Sahara never disappoints. Savannah and Jake's bride and groom session was filled with breathtaking scenery, endless sand dunes, dramatic light, and plenty of adventure.
Located in western Utah, Little Sahara is one of the largest sand dune areas in the state, covering over 60,000 acres of rolling dunes and desert landscapes. The unique terrain creates an incredible backdrop that feels more like the Sahara Desert than Utah. (Bureau of Land Management)
From the moment we arrived, we knew this photoshoot would be memorable. The wind was relentless, blowing sand across the dunes and creating a constantly changing landscape. While the conditions were challenging, they also added incredible movement and drama to the photographs.
A Beautifully Windy Day at Little Sahara
The strong winds turned Savannah's dress into a work of art. Every gust created flowing movement that looked amazing against the soft sand dunes and blue sky. Of course, there was one downside—the sand had a mind of its own!
By the end of the session, Savannah's dress was covered in sand and dirt. But like many adventurous couples, she embraced the experience and focused on creating beautiful memories with Jake. Sometimes the best photos come from stepping outside your comfort zone, and this session was the perfect example.
The combination of the wind, golden light, and endless dunes created some truly epic images that simply couldn't be replicated anywhere else.
