The wind at Brandy & Patrick's Little Sahara Chalk War & Bridals was blowing at least 60 miles Per hour. That's how we started. Ok, let me back up. We started at the visitor center with Brandy telling me she brought chalk poppers and that she wanted to have a chalk fight with her fiancé Patrick. I said, "fun, but we have a wind problem".

I explained that chalk poppers look great if there is very little wind, but that if they used them in a windstorm, they would be gone before I could get more than 1 shot off. But they also had bags of different colored chalk, so I thought we could give it a try.

Before the all out chalk war, I wanted to get some pictures of them not covered in chalk. Brandy is a big Pirates of the Caribbean fan( note the pirate ship tattoo on her right arm) . So I gave the pictures a more rustic look to make it seem like they were near the ocean.

Ok, now the fun part, the chalk war. They both stood facing each other for the first shot, but the chalk was gone in less that a second, and the wrong way. So I had 1 stand facing the wind while the other one let the chalk go. Bingo! That worked. After playing with the bags of chalk for a while, they brought out the big chalk popper. I had they face it into the wind, and full the string. Bam, the chalk did exactly what I thought it would, went right back in their faces. (see picture 7)

They had lots of fun trying to make each other get covered in various colors of chalk, but I think Brandy won in the end. That's because she sat on Patrick and poured bags of chalk in his face.
