Rachel & Edmund's Buffalo Peak Bride & Groom Session

by Utah Wedding Photographers James Erick Photography Utah

Ok, so catching up on my blogging from last year, I did a really fun shoot in late June at one of my favorite locations in Provo Canyon. It was a very beautiful Afternoon when we did Rachel & Edmund's Buffalo Peak Bride & Groom Session. This year and last there was very little snow or rain, so the flowers have not been as abundant as they were in prior years. But even so, this is a very scenic area even without the fields of yellow flowers.

I usually go to 2-3 different areas up here, but due to the lack of water there were no wildflowers at the lower locations. So we decided to go straight to the top of the mountain.

Rachel & Edmund are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They had no complaints hiking up to the top of Buffalo Peak to get some beautiful shots with mountains in the background. I always say the best places to take pictures are rarely by the side of the road. And to get to buffalo peak is about a 1.2 hour drive from my home, down the highway, up the canyon, up the paved road to the dirt road, then a walk up a dirt trail to the top. So you have to be dedicated to getting beautiful pictures to go here.

Rachel's dress was so beautiful, which a large flowing veil. And Edmund looked handsome in his navy blue suit and pink tie. Together they were a match made in heaven.

I also did a video for this photoshoot, which was tricky as i had to carry a lot more equipment to the top of the mountain than usual, but it was well worth it and both the pictures and the video came out amazingly.
