Miranda & Christian's Spring Antelope Island Bridals were so beautiful! It was a perfect day, slightly cloudy, but not overcast. There was very little wind so the lake was like glass. This is one of those days you always hope for, but rarely get everything perfect. Today was perfect!

As I have said many times before, taking pictures at antelope island is always risky. Go the wrong time of the year and there are billions of bugs. Go on the wrong day and its too overcast, or raining. Go in the winter and you will freeze. And many times its windy on the island. "It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get" as Forrest Gump's mom one said.

Today were were mostly here to do a video, so I did not take as many pictures as I usually do. You can see the video here: https://vimeo.com/688637689/cf352b88c1

Some of these pictures were taken with my video camera, some with my drone, and some with my Canon R5 camera.

More and more couple are opting for a video/photography shoot as opposed to pictures alone. Why? Simple, because video adds motion and sound and music to the mix. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a thousand pictures.

Christian and Miranda were awesome to work with. We were on a time schedule to get to each location and finally the beach with rocks for the grand finale. Timing that just right requires a lot of planning, experience, and judgement. You have to know how much time to spend at each location and still have time to walk the 15 minute trek to the beach before the sun goes down. You have to plan on things happening, like the bride not wearing shoes, or people stopping to ask you questions, and many other things.

Today we planned everything just right and got to the beach about 8 minutes prior to the sun setting. And what a sunset it was! Like something you would see in Hawaii. Almost every shade of pink, orange and yellow dazzled our eyes, then the indigo blue glow after the sun had set.
