Amanda & Spencer's Antelope Island Engagement happened on one of the most beautiful evenings I have ever seen on the island. The day started a little hazy, with clouds all around us, but when the sun set, we got so many beautiful colors it was dazzling to the eye.
This time of year at Antelope Island, you never know what your going to get. Sometimes it's cloudy, sometimes raining, sometimes snowing. Sometimes its windy, and sometimes the bugs are just coming out and are swarming. I cant control any of that. But i had already been there a few days before and got a beautiful sunset with no bugs so i tried it again, and got lucky.
Amanda and Spencer were lots of fun to work with. They both have down to earth and fun personalities, with a little country mixed in. Spencer had a sore hip from falling off a horse, so we had to be a little more careful what poses we did. No running or jumping or lifting, that kind of stuff. But even with these minor restrictions we were able to go all over the island to get lots of great pictures. We even got a few of their three legged dog, and no, its name is not "Tripod"
As the sun set, the colors kept on changing, first from gold, then to pink, then to deep red. Even when the shoot was over we kept on coming back to get different colors in the background. All in all, it was an amazing evening with a great couple. No wind, no bugs, no rain or snow.
