Summer Antelope Island Bride and Groom Session with Kayla & Michael

Summer Antelope Island Bride and Groom Session with Kayla & Michael

During a Antelope Island Bride and Groom Session, you never know how the weather is going to be…or the bugs. Today was perfect! It was warm, but not to hot, in the 70′s, and the sky was blue until at the perfect time during sunset the clouds came out to make the sky a multitude of colors. One of the reasons I like shooting here is because you can shoot a hundred different couples and there are always different backgrounds, skies, and weather. Also it seems like every time I go I find new places to shoot. The island is vast, and if there was a road that could take you all the way around and back, it would be a 3 hour drive. Many times I get Buffalo in the background of the shots just to make them even more mysterious. There is also a farm an hour south on the island that has a lot of old stuff to use as props.

Today we went to a new place near the southern harbor where the sun was just cresting on the top of the mountain. I liked the green reeds and the golden colored grass as they added a lot of contrast to the sky. Michael & Kaya are very nice, and in their wedding attire managed to trudge around the sticks, rocks, dirt and water to get some great shots. And in case you were wondering, Kaya is half Japanese, which gave her a really exotic look. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The following are just a few of my favorite shots from Michael & Kaya's Summer Antelope Island Bride Groom Session
