Summer Antelope Island Bridal with Ashley

The Summer Antelope island Bridal with Ashley was perfect! One of the best things about an Antelope Island Bridal is that many times you can get an amazing sunset that looks like you are in Hawaii...minus the palm trees. If you get a nice non-windy day without a lot of bugs, it can be one of the most beautiful places in Utah to photograph. Add a beautiful bride in a beautiful dress, and you have perfection.
I actually shot this Antelope Island Bridal with Ashley last year in the summer but just got around to blogging it as I have been trying to catch up over the past few months. And this was one of those perfect days. No wind, no bugs, perfect sunset. We started shooting in the cat tails on the central part of the island where the road ends. This is a beautiful place no matter what time of year you are hear, but in the summer its especially colorful.
Next we left for the central plain of the island where there are some unusual orange/yellow plants that stick straight up from the ground, and make an amazing contract to the blue sky.
After that we were off to the rocky peak near the north west part of the island, where a beautiful outcrop of ancient rocks juts up into the sky making a great platform for a bride that's not afraid of heights.
And for the final location, we were off to the shores of the great Salt lake to capture one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. The golden sun sank slowly into the silvery orange clouds making for some great lighting.
It was a lot of fun photographing Ashley. She had a lot of great looks, from serious to smiling that all looked amazing.
