Spring Thanksgiving Point Bride and Groom Session with Jamie & Josh

Spring Thanksgiving Point Bride and Groom Session with Jamie & Josh

by Utah Wedding Photographers James Erick Photography Utah

Shooting Jamie and Joshes’ Thanksgiving Point bride and Groom session was a lot of fun. But I knew it would be going in as I had already shot their engagement session a month ago at a mall in Sandy, so I knew how much fun they could be.

We started with the bride and groom seeing each other dressed up in their wedding attire for the first time. Of course, Josh looked amazed when he saw Jamie for the first time, but what really stood out to me was when he took her by the hand and kissed it romantically. That was beautiful.

Driving in A golf cart with Jamie & Josh and their mothers, we wound our way around the paths to my favorite locations, starting with the bridge over the pond. This was such a great place to start the Thanksgiving Point Bride and Groom session, as it has a kind of magical appearance to it. There are hanging flowers and amazingly colored Koi fish in the pond. Lilly pads cover a small section of the pond, and sometimes they have beautiful flowers on them. Top it off with beautiful trees in the background, and you have a setting that when you include a bride & Groom in it, looks like its straight out of a movie.

Most people I have talked to have no idea that there is a secret garden at thanksgiving Point. Its one of my favorite places to shoot, but it depends on the time of year as the plants in it are seasonal and look better in the spring time.

And if the bride was beautiful, the waterfalls in the last part of the shoot were spectacular! 4 waterfalls in the background cascading over a cliff with a bridge over one. And a beautiful bride and groom in the foreground. What more could you ask for?
