Breanne & Kenny's Engagement Session at Sundance was the first winter engagement I had done up here with this much snow. It was also a new location that I just found last year when there was almost no snow. I loved the snow covered trees in the background. With all the beauty, we had to be careful. Sundance is known for avalanches, and I barely missed on by a few minutes a year earlier.
Breanne & Kenny were a lot of fun to work with. Kenny is more of the serious type, and getting him to smile was not an easy job. I really don't know very many good jokes, so I was not a lot of help. But when he looked into Breanne's eyes, that seemed to do the trick.
It was cold, about 20 degrees, and i kept asking Breanne if she was freezing, but she said no. I was wearing thermals and ski pants and a heavy jacket and it was still cold to me. Breanne and Kenny are Originally from Idaho where it can get quite a bit colder in the winter, so for them this was not a problem.
In order to get to the new area I found I had to dig out a few trails in the snow. No easy task at high elevation in 3 feet of snow in some places. But after all was said an done, the shoot went perfectly and we got some amazing pictures of Breanne and Kenny just having fun in the snow.
