Winter Payson Temple Wedding

Winter Payson Temple Wedding by Utah Wedding Photographers James Erick Photography Utah

The Winter Payson Temple wedding with Alyssa & Spencer felt like winter, but without any snow! Sure, it was cold, about 38 degrees, but the wind chill was much colder. I started off that day without a jacket and nearly froze waiting for Alyssa & Spencer to come out of the temple! About 5 minutes before they walked out of the temple doors smiling from ear to ear, the wind started to blow so hard that kids and people without jackets were huddling together to keep warm. Luckily the wind calmed down about 30 minutes later for the bride and groom part of the shoot!

Alyssa & Spencer are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They are kind, adventurous, and I never had to ask them to smile. You can tell they are truly in love! I had already shot Alyssa & Spencer's Engagements in the fall, in one of the most beautiful fall sessions i had ever done. The fall leaves were amazing and the background like something out of a movie. Now here we are in the freezing Winter cold at the Payson Temple, and guess what? They were still smiling like it was that warm fall day all over again.

Both families were also a lot of fun to work with. Everybody cooperated for the group and wedding party pictures (Maybe because it was freezing and they wanted to be done as soon as possible) And at the reception, I saw one of the best cake smashing scenes I had ever photographed.
