Winter International Peace Gardens Engagement with Allie and Ken
By Utah Wedding Photographers James Erick Photography Utah
The International Peace Gardens Engagement with Allie and Ken was a lot of fun. Cold, but fun! I did this engagement session in January of last year ( which shows you how backed up on blogging I have become) in the middle of winter. It was cold, about 24 degrees, so I had to Allie and Ken to hold their breath during the shots so we would not see the steam from their mouths in the pictures. Lucky for us there was not a lot of snow yet, so it was easy to get around the walkways and trails the wind their way throughout the International Peace Gardens.
The International Peace Gardens was created in the lat seventies as a monument of peace between many different countries and the US. It has a lot of different cultural structures like columns, walls, fences, small houses and bridges that make it a great place to shoot year around.
Allie & Ken were a lot of fun to work with. They were constantly smiling and playing around in the snow, and just could not stop looking at each other (a great thing). Ken even helped carry Allie through one of the deeper parts of the snow to make sure her boots did not get ruined.
About half way through the shoot, Allie & Ken went back to their cars to do a clothing change. I really liked both of their outfits, and both were great for a snowy day.
