Amy asked me to shoot her International Peace Gardens bridal in Spring. The International Peace Gardens is a beautiful place to shoot no matter what time of year you do it, but in spring, it is in my opinion, the most beautiful time to shoot here. The flowers are in bloom, the cherry blossoms are in the trees, and the park looks amazing!
Amy was wearing a beautiful dress from Davids Bridals. Lace pattern with a golden belt in the middle. Her flowers were perfect for a spring shoot. I had already done her engagement session so i knew this was going to be a fun shoot.
The Peace Gardens are located on the banks of the Jordan River in Jordan Park and became a reality in 1947. Twenty-eight countries are represented at the gardens. The gardens are maintained by the Salt Lake City Parks Department, where they are planted with colorful flowers and foliage. The Past President's Council of the Salt Lake Council of Women, in partnership with the Parks department, sponsor the Peace Garden Festival on the third Saturday in September each year. The festival is held from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. The international Peace Gardens is a really amazing place. It is set in Salt Lake City and was created in the 1970's with donations coming from around the world from countries like Sweden, Denmark, China, Korea, Japan and Greece just to name a few. And Amy could have fit into all of these backgrounds.
Amy was great to work with, and I can t wait to shoot her wedding!
