State Capitol Bride Groom Session

State Capitol Bride Groom Session with Whitney & Tyler

By Utah Wedding Photographers James Erick Photography Utah

Whitney and Tyler asked me to do a State Capitol Bride Groom Session I think mostly because it was raining. Don't get me wrong, its a great place to shoot, but whenever possible I like to shoot Bride & Groom Sessions out-doors. Lets face it, we live in one of the most beautiful states in the US, and there is no indoor location as beautiful as the outdoor ones. And after their great choice of doing a Salt Lake City Engagement, I was all for it.

The State capitol is a challenging place to shoot. many times there are people walking by in the background so you have to take your time and wait for a clear spot to shoot. Also due to the five story ceiling and low lighting, it can sometimes be dark and flash just does not work well. But today was different. Not a lot of people, the lighting was great, and the couple looked amazing!

Tyler was so excited to see Whitney in her wedding dress for the first time, that he was having a hard time waiting for everybody to get out of the way and for Whitney to make the long climb down the stairs. When everything was finally a go and she turned him around and he saw her for the first time, the look on his face was priceless! Tears where streaming, hugs and kiss came after. You can tell these two are very much in love.
