Red Butte Garden Engagement

Red Butte Garden Engagement with Kyrsti & Alex

By Utah Wedding Photographers James Erick Photography Utah

The Red Butte Garden Engagement with Kyristi and Alex was amazing! The colors were in full bloom, with so many different varieties of flowers and plants and trees, it would be impossible for anyone except a botanist to know them all. And doing this shoot near sunset made the colors beautiful and the light soft.

Red Butte Gardens, located in the heart of Salt lake City, is one of my favorite places to shoot. It has trails going in all different directions and thousands of different kinds of plants, flowers trees and lots of different structures. Its most beautiful in the Spring and Summer months.

Kyristi & Alex were a lot of fun to work with. They laughed and joked around, but for the most part were very easy going. Kyristi knew exactly what she wanted with her pictures, so we did some re-creations to pictures she had seen in the past, some of them were mine. The others were ideas she had.

We had a cart to drive us around for our Spring Red Butte Garden Engagement, which helped a lot as there are so many places to go in the gardens to shoot, it would be impossible to get to them all without a cart.

My favorite part of the shoot was when we took pictures in the wild flower garden towards the back of Red Butte Garden. The colors of all the flowers all together in the field backlit against the sun were amazing!
