Summer Red Butte Gardens Bridal with Kyrsti

Shooting a Red Butte Gardens bridal session has its challenges. First off, it's a huge place. There are at least 4 miles of trails going up and down hills and crossing each other. And since the entire garden is filled with trees and exotic plants and flowers, it can be hard to even know where you are and what trail you need to take to get from one place to another. But luckily I have been here many times and I know the trails like the back of my hand. Another challenge is getting from one place to another, on a hot day, in a wedding dress. If you are doing your wedding there, they usually provide a cart and driver to take you from one place to another. This helped a lot!
Kyrsti was stunning in her beautiful dress. She had lots of ideas of what she wanted and even brought me some pictures from Pinterest. I don't mind this at all, and it makes my job even easier if I know what a bride is looking for. She had me re-create a few shots she liked on Pinterest and then told me to do whatever else I liked. The funny thing is that a few of the pictures she showed me were actually my pictures from Pinterest!
It was hot and a lot of hiking around, but Kyrsti never complained and we got a lot of amazing pictures.
